The magnificent Scottish landscape is the inspiration for my work which includes handwoven scarves painted to reflect the ever changing colours of the scenery. Others, inspired by tartan, often vibrant and bold, are woven in an unusual, exciting mixture of asymmetrical stripes and checks. But colour is only part of their beauty. Once you have experienced the velvety texture, lustrous hand and drape of quality chenille nothing else will do.
The cobwebs are stunning, light and airy scarves and stoles that defy logic. Exotic yarns are held in place by a light framework of stitching.
Necklaces and earrings display the raw beauty of local beach stone and sea glass enhanced with the elegance of silver.
My handmade cards feature the beauty of southwest Scotland, it's flora and fauna and other favourite subjects from my travels all photographed with an artist's eye.
